Steering Damper/Stabilizer Install Guide
Degree of Difficulty: 2
Tools & parts needed:
1) Damper/Stabilizer
2) Wrenches and ratchet/socket set
Step 1 There is not much to this one
but here we go. To the left you will see
a picture before the install.
Step 2  Install the two brackets. One
goes on the steering stem and one
goes on the left front frame rail. Only
hand tighten the bolts at this point.
Refer to image 2.
Step 3 Install the damper into place
and hand tighten the bolts.
Step 4 Now the hard part. You must
make sure that you have clearance for
all the new moving parts. Start by
tightening all bolts but do not crank
them down all the way yet. Once you
have them tight, move the steering
from lock to lock while inspecting the
damper. This took me a few tries to get
just right but it is possible.
Step 5 Tighten all bolts and don't
forget about the damper bolts where
they go into the bracket loops.
Thanks to the guys at Denton
Racing for supplying the Steering
Damper for this project.
