PRM Skid Plates  PRM offers a wide range of aluminum
products for the 450R. I personally have the control arm skids,
belly pan skid, swing arm skid, Baja front bumper, rear six-pack
rack, and pump protector set. This company really knows how to
build a quality product. I had one problem with the belly pan skid
causing a very nasty vibration. I called PRM and they were very
helpful. They told me to simply slip a piece of rubber between
the frame and skid and that should get rid of the vibration. It did.
Also, the oil pump protector gets in the way when you try to do
an oil filter change. No big deal. Overall, their products get a 5
star rating with me.*****

A new member pointed out that the belly pan did not have a
drain hole for the trans drain plug. Simply resolved with a 5/8"
hole saw. Thanks Grousetamer.
Shock-Pros Shock Covers Just wanted to let ya know
about shock pro shock covers. I've had them on my R since I've
bought it and they seem to hold up very well. I've had them in mud,
sand, water and they seem to do the job! The Velcro fasteners are
still holding strong after going through all of the elements.

Neoprene Shock Covers  I found these shock covers
on Ebay a couple months back. I really love them and they work
and look great. Way better than the nylon ones in my opinion.
These custom made neoprene shock covers protect shocks
(stock or after-market) from sand, dirt, mud, snow, and gravel,
and WILL NOT WEAR THE PAINT OFF YOUR SHOCKS like
nylon covers do. Covers have a heavy-duty (industrial strength)
1-inch Velcro closure and elastic at both ends to hold them in
place. These covers do not crack like Outerwears, and they
cost less. These fit better than any other cover I have ever
used. Order on Ebay at the following link.

REAR WHEEL LIFT This item is manufactured
by Safely Ride and I really like it. It is perfect for a
quick lift to oil your chain or swap out your tires. You
simply place the lift unit under the rear axle and step
on it. With a little help pulling up on the grab bar,
your machine will  instantly be about 4 inches off the
ground. Follow this
link to order one for yourself. Also,

Custom Air Box Lid by EHS Racing
I was very excited to get this item. As I opened the
package and saw the bright shiny billet aluminum, I
knew I was getting a high quality product. They have
taken a stock Honda air box lid and modified it for high
performance get up and go. This lid is designed for
bikes with jetting and a pipe. But you can most
certainly use it with a stock machine. You may need to
jet it though. They have taken a piece of outerware air
filter cover and attached it to the top of the air box lid
using a rectangular shaped ring. The ring is made of
billet aluminum and is held on with allen head screws.
This cover will definitely extend the life of your air filter
and allow for more air flow into your engine. While
protecting your engine from dirt and water. I did some
testing with a hose and it holds out 99% of the water
that hits the outerware. Click here to

FeatherCarbon Hood This hood is very well
made. It is hand laid carbon fiber and then
clear-coated. The finish was not 100% perfect. The
clear coat had some minor imperfections but nothing
that will not look like that after a few rides any way.
Very strong, I dropped some heavy items on it and it
did not budge. Very nice product. I think it looks great
on the machine. The Only drawback is taking the
headlight off. But if you are a racer then it should not
bother you. I think with some minor modifications the
headlight could be left on. I tried installing it with the
headlight intact and it could mount up if the headlight
were lowered about a half an inch. And the headlight
would shine through the scoop. I did an install guide
which can be seen
here. If you would like to order one
for yourself.

Quad Tech Carbon Fiber Hood"This deep
high gloss carbon fiber hood has the best of both
worlds! A full size Hex4 polished Billet aluminum grill
mounted in a 50/50 position to keep the front/top of
the hood low for number plates and the scoop directs
more air to the radiator. Used by Pro National Winner
Joe Byrd."

This is a very nice hood and is really strong and well
built. It is very easy to install once the headlight is
removed. I was able to modify my stock headlight by
lowering it which allowed me to use this hood in
conjunction with the stock headlight. Click

GT Thunder Rear Shock Link and Re Valve
Simply put, they do a real nice job setting up your stock
rear shock. It is still adjustable and rides much nicer than
stock. So much nicer that it made the fronts feel a little
inferior. So I had to go out and buy a set of Elka Triple
Rates. GT Thunder also does a front re valve which I did
not do. At the time I thought the fronts would be adequate.
I am sure they do just as nice job on the fronts as they do
the rears. And for the price, it is hard to beat. The main
thing I noticed with the rear is that it takes the whoops
much better. You don't get that floppy feeling in the back
when you are hammering whoops. Nice job GT Thunder.

Stainless Steel Radiator Shrouds  Here is a
nice new product from 414tinner. He is a seller on Ebay
and sells these for a very nice price. This is a nice
alternative to the higher priced name brand shrouds for
the rider on a budget. I installed them on my 450R and
they are a perfect fit. Installation took about 20 minutes
without a hitch. They give you a nice flat place to put your
sponsor stickers and they actually stay in place. He makes
them for the 400Ex and LTZ/KFX 400 as well. Here is a link
to his Ebay Store. You won't be disappointed.
