Step 1 Remove your rear shock and ship it to GT Thunder. Be careful because the rear end will drop like a ton of bricks once you take out the rear shock. I used a strap to strap the rear grab bar to the ceiling of my garage.
Step 2 While your shock is out getting upgraded, you can cut/modify your skid plates. I have PRM skids and both the belly pan and swing arm skid plates had to be cut. This is because the new link you will receive drops the rear end about an inch. If you have another brand skid then you might want to wait and see if they need to be cut. I am pretty sure most skids will need to be cut. (figure 1&2)
Step 3 Once received, install your rear shock replacing your stock linkage piece with the one provided. (figure 3)
I know we have not gone into real detail on this install but there is not much to it. Especially if you have the stock plastic skid plates which will be easy to cut/modify. I only rated it 3 wrenches because most people have aluminum skids and the cutting can be a little difficult.
