FullBore Aftermarket Plastic Install Guide
Degree of Difficulty: 2
Tools & parts needed:
1) Plastic
2) Just standard hand tools
Step 1 Remove the stock front plastic. Pull the
hood off. Remove the bolts that hold the front to the
gas tank. Remove the bolts from under the fenders.
The entire front should come off in one piece
except for the hood. You may have to wiggle it back
and forth to maneuver it around and off.
Step 2  Remove the stock rear plastic. Pull the seat
off. Remove the 2 bolts near the air box. Remove
the 4 bolts under the rear fenders. The rear fender
should pull off in one piece also.
Step 3  At this point you should have a bare frame,
motor and suspension. This is a good time to give it
a thorough bath underneath. Refer to images 1-6
for help in removing the stock plastic.
Step 5  Lets start with the radiator air scoops. They
are different than the stock plastic because they do
not attach to the fenders. The lower mount is done
with a provided L bracket and speed nut. The
upper mount is the stock location. See images....
Step 6  Next is the front fenders. You will no longer
have a removable hood. The Fullbore set up has a
one-piece front which includes an integrated hood.
It bolts to the fuel tank and tank bracket the same
as the stock plastic. But under the front fender is
slightly different. You will use a small provided L
bracket mounted to the stock location to
accommodate the new mounting location on the
plastic.
Step 7  Now to the rear fender. Unlike the totally
different front plastic, the rear is very similar to the
stock set up. You will need to transfer all hardware,
brackets and grommets from the stock plastic to the
new plastic. You will use the four provided L
brackets in the stock locations for the under fender
mounting. You will also use the stock bolt locations
under the seat.
Step 8  Make sure all your bolts are tight. Also use
the provided velcro strap to secure the rear
fender's front section under the seat together.
Thanks to the guys at Fullbore for
supplying the plastics  for this project.
